Tattoo Aftercare

ONCE YOU GET YOUR TATTOO, IT IS NOW YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT IN THE BEGINNING AND IT WILL LOOK BEAUTIFUL FOR LIFE.

DAY ONE

Second Skin Bandage (sticky film): leave it on for 2 to 3 days.

You will notice some ink/blood oozing underneath the bandage; it is normal.

If the ooze leaks out of the edge of the bandage then wipe it off and clean the skin.

Second skin bandage is water proof and breathable. Shower is fine.

Avoid high heat temperatures.

Soaking Pad Bandage (squares): take the bandage off after 3-5 hours.

Do not re-bandage; the tattoo needs to breathe.
With clean hands, wash the tattoo lightly with a mild soap

Antibacterial liquid/foam hand soap or Cetaphil cleanser and warm water.

Clean off the plasma, blood, and ointment from the tattoo. Lightly dry with a clean paper towel by patting it dry,
then let it air-dry.

Apply a very thin layer of ointment (A&D ointment or Eurcin Aquaphor
Healing Ointment).

At night, wear loose fitting clothing to sleep. (If you wake up with clothing sticking to the tattoo
wet the clothing and remove gently.)

DAY TWO AND THREE

Wash, dry and thinly apply ointment 3 times a day.

DAY FOUR TO TWO WEEKS

It is normal for the tattoo to start peeling. Wash once a day. Stop using ointment and switch to non-scent lotion.

(Cetaphil Lotion suggested)

FOR TWO WEEKS: NO SUN!!!

Showering is okay, but do not soak in bath. Do not expose the tattoo to the sun.
Wear clean, loose clothing; the tattoo needs to breathe! Careful with bra straps or any other
items of clothing that can irritate the tattoo. Do not scratch the tattoo; let the tattoo flake off naturally.

DO NOT USE:

NEOSPORIN, VASELINE, PRODUCTS CONTAINING ALOE VERA

Use these instructions, not what your friend, co-worker or cousin tells you!

We don't take responsiblity for your aftercare.

THE SUN AGES THE TATTOO; PROTECT IT WITH SUNSCREEN ONCE IT HAS HEALED.
