Tattoo Aftercare

ONCE YOU GET YOUR TATTOO, IT IS NOW YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT IN THE BEGINNING AND IT WILL LOOK BEAUTIFUL FOR LIFE.

—SECOND SKIN BANDAGE—

DAY ONE- DAY 4

Leave the second skin on for 3-4 days.

You will notice some ink/blood oozing underneath the bandage; it is NORMAL.

If juicy bubble builds up, you may squeeze it out at the bottom in the shower.

Or even puncture the bubble with a tiny pin and drain.

Either way, please make sure to keep the area clean and safe for yourself and others.

Second skin bandage is water proof and breathable. Shower is fine.

Avoid high heat temperatures.

If you feel any discomfort, you may take it off sooner

and follow the pad-bandage steps as seen below.

DAY 4  TO TWO WEEKS

Peel off the second skin bandage downward, gently and slowly.

It helps to do in the shower.

With clean hands, wash the tattoo lightly with a mild soap

Antibacterial liquid/foam hand soap or Cetaphil cleanser and warm water.

Let it air-dry before apply thin amount of  non-scent lotion.

(Cetaphil Lotion suggested)

Apply lotion 2-3 times a day.

Some peeling is normal, DO NOT PICK AT IT.

FOR TWO WEEKS: NO SUN!!!

Showering is okay, but do not soak in bath. Do not expose the tattoo to the sun.
Wear clean, loose clothing; the tattoo needs to breathe! Careful with bra straps or any other
items of clothing that can irritate the tattoo. Do not scratch the tattoo; let the tattoo flake off naturally.
